Space Christmas: AGI

Tuesday night was the AGI Holiday Party. It was in the Cosmos Club, which is a fancy, space-related members-only club in DC. The building is beautiful, with lots of ornately decorated rooms. The party took up the whole second floor - as I walked around, I kept discovering more rooms with food, drinks, and people. It was great to see everybody and be able to talk - I got to catch up with a lot of people that I hadn't seen in a while. The food was all very nice - a couple kinds of pasta, a mashed potato bar, sushi, passed eu d'oeuvres, and a chocolate fountain. They also had a rocket-shaped ice sculpture, which was also an ice luge.

Another highlight of the party was that Stephanie and Arthur were there! Stephanie just got back from Florida after the successful launch of her company's rocket. And Arthur, her boyfriend, just moved here from Ohio. So we hung out with the throughout most of the night, and it was so great to get to chat. Technically, Stephanie's only been gone a little over a week, but it seemed like forever - so fun to hang out again!
