Wedding Venue Search

So now Jeff and I are in Minnesota, and we're checking out our top few choices for venues. We'd like to have something fun and unique and interesting, and the Twin Cities have some great options. We're leaning towards Minneapolis rather than Saint Paul, just because transportation is easier with the light rail and there's more for guests to do while they're in town for the weekend. Here are some of the places we're visiting this weekend:

Minneapolis Central Library - http://www.mintahoe.com/go/venues/minneapolis-central-library/specs
Historic Minneapolis City Hall - http://www.municipalbuildingcommission.org/Weddings.html
Mill City Museum - http://www.millcitymuseum.org/museum-minneapolis-riverfront
Marquette Hotel - Windows on Minnesota - http://www.marquettehotel.com/weddings/index.html
Science Museum of Minnesota (Elements Cafe) - http://www.smm.org/rentals/social/
Minnesota History Center - http://www.minnesotahistorycenter.org/facility-rental

And here are some pictures:

Historic Minneapolis City Hall

Mill City Museum

Marquette Hotel - Windows on Minnesota

Science Museum of Minnesota

Minnesota History Center

Hopefully we'll have a decision made by Sunday!!!

What an interesting blog, introduced by a thought-provoking photo. The unusual wall painting of the dwellings is also a strangely modern interpretation. Something like this hieroglyphic view of a park by Swiss painter Paul Klee, http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-8LT475.
The image can be seen at wahooart.com who can supply you with a canvas print of it.

Beautiful wedding reception hall! I admire this blog and really seem interesting one. A "reception hall" is a place where people go to celebrate an event, such as a wedding, retirement, birthday. For more see here.
